About Southern Straits Marine
We are an independent marine cargo surveyor and consultancy services company registered under Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) with registration No. 202201014596 (1460293-U). The company has been incorporated in year 2022 and based at Johor, Malaysia currently embarking a steady progress in providing marine and commercial related services in term of survey, recovery, disposal, logistics, manpower and general trades.
We are licensed marine surveyors.
We are licensed by two major port authorities in country to conduct survey and marine service-related activity at ports and areas regulated by Port Klang Authority (LPK) and Johor Port Authority (LPJ). We also possess good experience in working with various local authorities such as the Department of Environment (DOE), Malaysian Quarantine and Inspection Services (MAQIS), Customs, and Agriculture Department, as we continuously engage together for disposal and recovery matters.

Our team comprises of well experienced surveyors with high levels of qualification. Most have served in this field for an average of 10 years, and own complete certifications in various fields of work they are involved in, including DG handling and marine trade related works. Upholding a high standard of service to clients, we continuously monitor domestic and international developments in order to respond quickly and efficiently to customers’ requests and satisfaction.
